Renee and Mary Jo also cover Star Studded events and have been tagged “red carpet experts.” They have positioned themselves on red carpets all over Southern California, establishing themselves as fixtures on the red carpet and favorite celebrity interviewers.

​Long Bio:

Renee has won two Emmy awards for her work as a video-journalist in Los Angeles. She has extensive experience in television news covering headline stories including: The Academy Awards, Presidential Conventions, Earth Quakes, Floods, High Profile Court Cases including the “Trial of the Century.” 

Mary Jo's career began as an on-air radio personality in Los Angeles. She went on to report/write for magazines before turning to film. She is a film editor, music composer, musician, and song writer. MJ is a proud graduate of Loyola Marymount University, a Redondo Beach native and surfer by heart. 
Renee and Mary Jo combined their talents to create Traipsing Thru Films and LGBT Hollywood. They serve on panels, juries, and consultants for filmmaking and outer space. 

Their success was immediate, when their first musical dykeumentary Dykes & Their Dogs became a hit on the LGBT film festival circuit. That was followed with Lesbian Fashion? starring Ellen Degeneres, Higher PowerAIDS Memorial Quilt Tribute,

 ​Divas Breaking Taboos and Bessie, Billie & Ruth starring Sweet Baby J'ai. BBF showcases the history of Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday & Ruth Brown and was broadcast nationally on KCBS African American Short Films. 

The Crew premiered their first feature documentary on CNN Presents!, Christa McAuliffe: Reach for the Starsnarrated by Susan Sarandon, They followed with Astronaut Pam: Countdown to Commander and Samuel Goldwasser before returning in grand style to LGBT content with The Oldest LESBIAN in the World!Michelle or Hillary?, Texas Bullshit!, Gay Marriage with the Stars, and What's in your Underwear Drawer?. 2015 brought another main stream feature film, Banner on the Moon narrated by Valerie Harper, followed by more award winning shorts, Jazz. Women. Bring it., Diane Schuur: Jazz LegendET-94 NASA External Space Shuttle Tankand #NonaHendryx Transformation currently winning awards on the festival circuit.
